As the newest Bond girl, Ana de Armas is earning plenty of headlines (and big roles) in Hollywood. Plus, she's dating Ben Affleck. Clearly, the girl knows how to navigate the celebrity world. Which means working with some of the greatest actors of all time, including Keanu Reeves.
As Cinema Blend notes, Ana de Armas "came out of nowhere" to star alongside Hollywood hunks like Ben, plus Ryan Gosling and Daniel Craig. In fact, she and Ben reportedly met on the set of 'Deep Water' in 2019.
As InStyle recounts, the "psychological thriller" starred Ben and Ana as husband and wife. After a romance blossomed, the pair traveled to Cuba together (de Armas is Cuban), then Costa Rica. InStyle even suggests they've moved in together.
But in terms of Ana's professional relationships with other male co-stars? She's definitely someone everyone wants to be friends with and star alongside. No one denies de Armas is talented, even if she was surprised to be cast as the Bond girl.
Keanu Reeves may not have been shocked, though.
To date, de Armas has been in two films with Keanu. They've shared the screen in both 'Knock Knock' and 'Exposed.' And though Ana was a relative newcomer to the big screen, she and Keanu got along amazingly well.
That's not entirely surprising, however, as Ana has already starred alongside plenty of other big-name celebrities (and held her own). Cinema Blend highlighted that Ana acknowledged how talented her handsome co-stars are, and the fact that it's about more than their looks.
Beauty may be important in Hollywood, but Ana's not all about the pretty boys. Instead, she talks about her co-stars' creative and acting abilities. She also seems to respect Keanu's opinion and creative direction.
Since she said the pair have "become so close," Ana probably knows things like what Keanu Reeves eats and what projects he's considering next. After all, following their working relationship on 'Knock Knock,' Keanu called Ana up when it was time to produce 'Exposed.'
As Ana recounted, Keanu knew she'd be perfect for the role, so he called her up to offer the job. It must be nice to be on Keanu Reeves' speed dial! Especially when it affords Ana yet another big-budget acting role.
Of course, Ana's been fortunate in other ways, admitting that the many opportunities she's had were due, in part, to plain old good luck.
Of course, her talent surely has something to do with Ana's rise to fame. But, it helps to have friends in high places who have a ton of pull in Hollywood (and produce films, too). Who knows what else will come of her working relationship with Keanu.
